Trash the Dress

Good morning Pearlies!  Ever wish you were bold enough to do a trash the dress session?  O-M-G!  I wish I had enough guts to do this in my dress after I got married.  Seriously, are you really ever going to wear it again anyway?  I mean, unless it was passed down from a previous generation, why not? My dress actually sat in my closet for four years until I finally took it to a consignment shop last year.  I figured maybe it could make someone else as happy as it made me!  A much better idea than sitting in my dark lonely closet forever.

This picture from the great Matt Bigelow is one of my very favs.  What’s not to love about this carefree couple just jumping all in.  It’s sort of reminds me of the concept of marriage… you have to grab your love by the hand and jump in, eyes wide open. Trusting the other will help keep you afloat no matter what gets in the way.  I’m head over heels for this shoot and I just love this couple’s super smiley faces and sparkling personalities that shine though.  It looks like so much fun and it definitely makes me want a do over with my wedding dress. Unfortunately, its too late for me but maybe this post will give some of you the courage to go ahead and TRASH THE DRESS!

The photos are so stunning.  I am in love with the soft elements of her dress against the harsh terrain of their surroundings.  Matt really knows how to make each session a work of art for every couple.  And of course every bride loves to put the dress on at least one more time!

Thanks for sticking with us for another week of Region shout outs! Stay tuned for more awesomeness as we travel back to Maryland for more real wedding inspiration on Monday.
