Good Monday morning Pearlies! Today is the beginning of our DIY week. You know how we love our DIY’ers! What is your favorite DIY? Send it in folks, tell us what you would like to see or something you are dying to share with our readers! We want to hear from you Pearlies!
I want to share a super easy and quick favor idea for your bridesmaids or even your wedding guests today on the blog. As a soccer and track mom of three, I know how time can sometimes be an issue when planning a wedding. Here is something that is seriously easy and didn’t break the bank.
Here’s what you will need:
- Ceramic coasters
- Your Cricut machine and tools or store bought stencils
- Cardstock paper or vinyl
- Sharpie paint markers
We all know how expensive vinyl is for a Cricut Machine so, if you are only using the stencil once, it’s totally acceptable to use cardstock instead. But, if each coaster will be the same and reused many times consider using a more durable material.
Since I used only one stencil for each coaster I used some leftover cardstock I had lying around. Be careful of bleed through. After my initial trial and error this whole process only took me about 20 minutes.
Set up the wording in your Cricut Design Space or prepare your store purchased stencil. Be sure to size accordingly to the size of your coaster and choose a font easy to cut on your machine.
Use your tools to remove the font cut out from your cutting mat. Choose one to start with and choose a Sharpie color.
Color inside the lines! Simple as that. Here’s a little tip, If you mess up a tad, a little nail polish remover and a q-tip work wonders if you catch it quickly.
Decorate to your liking with your awesome Sharpie markers and allow to dry completely. You can add some felt pads to the bottom if you wish or leave as is.
Stack them and tie with a bow or twine and voila you have a seriously fun and super fast and easy favor or gift your guests are sure to love!
