Happy Thanksgiving week everyone. We are taking a little break from posting this week to enjoy our families and friends. We can’t wait to get back to posting about real weddings and wedding inspiration for you next week. Until then enjoy some of our favorite past posts. I thought this was fitting for Thanksgiving week. What are you thankful for Pearlies?
Hello there Pearlies! As we unfold the mysteries of the blogging world, we find ourselves so thankful! We are thankful for all of you, thankful for all the amazing peeps that were super supportive and helped us get this off the ground and of course thankful for our loved ones to name just a few.
As some of you know we are the DIY queens and love every minute of it. As my children mature, I try my best to keep them humble and remind them to be thankful for all the beauty of the world they know. So, this year we decided to create our own thankful tree. There are so many variations and cool DIY tutorials on the internet. Of course, we wanted ours to have a duel purpose. Not only will it remind the whole family all of the things we are thankful for this year, but it will also serve as our thanksgiving centerpiece. We hope you enjoy and get the inspiration you need to create your own special variation.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Branches (Store purchased or collected and gathered from mother nature)
- Spray paint if desired (this will be just as beautiful natural)
- Leaf templates or you can also use your Cricut Machine to cut
- A Large Vase
- Pencil, Pen or Marker
- Hole Punch
- Embellishments to your taste
Cut out the leaf patterns, write what you are thankful for on each leaf, tie with some twine and hang from the thankful tree. How easy is that? This was such a fun project for us! It was so nice to complete this as a family and we plan to continue this tradition!
