Good morning Pearlies, Our Pink Pearls Praise goes out to a gorgeous venue nestled right in the heart of Sweet Home Chicago! This beautiful hotel has so much to offer you and your wedding guests. But don’t take my word for it, ask the pros at Renaissance Blackstone.
With the holidays, comes primetime engagement season, and for all those newly engaged couples planning and looking for the perfect venue, the Renaissance Blackstone Chicago Hotel has them covered for the 2016 wedding season. This “one stop shop” offers three luxury wedding packages and nine unique function spaces that provide the complete wedding experience; from the rehearsal dinner to premier guest accommodations.
Say “I do” in the heart of Chicago within the Beaux-Arts designed hotel’s charming and historically significant walls, walked by celebrities such as The Beatles, Katherine Hepburn, Al Capone and 12 US Presidents including Teddy Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy and Jimmy Carter.
The hotel’s wedding planners have curated three distinct packages offering 3-4 course dinner options. The most lavish package includes a four-course menu, an enhanced seasonal dessert station and champagne toast with tableside wine service. Finishing touches include floor length satin lamour linen and napkins, white charger plates and table number frames, complimentary Chiavari Chairs, custom wedding menus, votive candles and the necessities; a stage, dance floor and of course, a wedding cake! Wedding guests can enjoy preferred room rates, complimentary coat check service throughout the evening and a discounted event valet parking rate.
Wedding spaces include:
The Crystal Ballroom
The Crystal Ballroom has been beautifully restored, complete with an elaborate “wedding cake” plaster ornamentation, ornate balustrade and richly embellished ceiling. Flooded with natural light and overlooking Grant Park and Michigan Avenue, the ballroom’s eight-foot-tall, five-foot-wide bronze chandelier is surrounded with 36 lights and hundreds of hand-cut crystals.
The Art Hall
With over 1,600 contemporary artworks on display throughout the hotel, its Art Hall offers a one-of-a-kind space for an intimate celebration for the art enthusiast bride and groom. The gallery-like space, located on the fifth floor, is complete with elaborate plastered ornamentation and art works available to buy.
The Barber Shop
The Barber Shop’s notorious background and beautiful, organic restorations make it a unique place to host pre or post wedding events, such as an after party. Once a fully functioning barbershop, the decorative plaster crown, frieze ornamentation and fluted marble columns surround a space that was once frequented by the infamous Al Capone.
The English Room
An architectural gem, the English Room features 17th century walnut paneling, slate and Colorado white stone flooring, a beautifully carved ceiling, original stained-glass windows from 1910 as well as modern touches making it an ideal venue to host rehearsal dinners.
Just stunning! Thanks for sharing and we hope you go check it out!
