Sunflowers and Smiles Church Wedding~ Nick and Kaly

Morning Pearlies!  So once again our friend Dana Lenckus knocks it out of the park with her awesome photography and a cool story.  Here’s a little bit about the couple and how Dana came to be the photographer for their big day…

Kaly & Nick were high school sweethearts in the southwest suburbs of Illinois. They grew apart when they went to college and reconnected a few years later. With the Lord and their friends close by, their love spark reignited and came together for what now would be forever. The two got engaged shortly after at Waterfall Glen Forest preserve in August of 2014, where I had snapped their proposal by accident, and didn’t know how to reach them to give them their photos. I was on a family shoot, when I looked over to see him on one knee, I snapped the moment and they were too busy celebrating and left without getting my contact information. I sent a Facebook boost out to find them and have people share their story, and they found me within hours. Such a cool thing!

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” -Ephesians 5:25 ‪#‎100days‬ Kaly Zak is one of the verses that Nick had ‘captioned’ with their proposal photos.

How neat is all that?!  Nick is the “Next Generations Pastor” at the church they were married at, and they have their first anniversary coming up very shortly, so Congrats and Happy Anniversary to the awesome couple!
