Then Comes Marriage… Mountain High Real Wedding~ Jeremy and Jess

Good morning you guys! When this gorgeous wedding landed in the PPB inbox, my heart melted!  I just loved all of the beautiful nature mixed with the understated and classy details and decor this wedding had to offer, and knew right away it needed to be shared!  And beyond all of that, there were plenty of wedding details included from the lovely bride Jess!

After meeting at a gym, Jess and Jeremy started a journey to love.  To propose to her, Jeremy surprised her with a holiday at Binna Burra when he came back from a 4 month overseas deployment.  He took her for a hike to a lookout and clearing over a mountain stream, and proposed on the rock ledge in front of the stunning view.  They celebrated with champagne and a delicious dinner at the mountaintop restaurant.

As for wedding details… Jess chose her wedding gown at Belladonna Bridal in Brisbane. She was looking for really beautiful and intricate classic detailing but still wanted something she could dance and party in and feel comfortable in all day.

For their wedding style, they chose to keep things classic, timeless and elegant. They let the venue speak for itself.  (And boy does it!)  They splurged on the venue, photographer and dresses, and also paid for guest accommodation so they could stay the night in a gorgeous lodge and celebrate with them the next morning for breakfast.  Jeremy and Jess felt that the guests are some of the most important parts, and it was the venue that created the elegant atmosphere they were after.  They saved on transport, with the ceremony and reception at the same place.

Jess said if she could change one thing about the day it would be remembering to take her engagement ring off before the ceremony!  She completely forgot and had to quickly take it off and put it on the other hand.  She urges future brides to keep their perspective centered.  “A wedding is just one day, and things do go wrong; embrace it.”  The weather on their day was absolutely crazy but as a result, some of their best photos are swirled in fog and rain!

As for the best moment of the day: “We played the shoe game and cried with laughter. The crazy weather was also memorable. We had sun, rain, storms and fog. It made the view even more incredible and cozy inside”…

Let’s re-live a few amazing moments together, shall we…
